We all hop from one company to another company for a better job opportunity and growth both financially and operationally. Whenever we join a company that respective company will
make sure that the new joined should be well acquainted with the company’s value and processes. The newly joined should know its vision, mission, values and culture of the company and its other business verticals and location of operations and its future plans.
All the business/departmental heads need to come to the induction program and should give presentation to the new joiners’ regarding their department’s roles & its operation, this is for the people to know & understand the company in a holistic way.



When you are in the induction process, following points you need to know & should keep it at back of your mind so that you can create a valuable impression in the minds of the management & have a successful induction program.

The following are as follows:


1)Do your homework:  

 When you have cracked the interview and you have got the job, you most probably must have read the company’s profile, its operations and its expertise. While in the process of getting acquainted with the company’s tits & bits, you might have your own curious thoughts & want to ask the question during you that respective rounds of presentation. By this you will through knowledge and can ask relevant questions, such that you score 10 on 10 on the minds of the presenter & make the session lively & informative. 


2) know your cross functional team:

One department’s input is other dependent’s output or work flow. Know each other department will help you to in harmony & sync the company process in order to achieve the company’s goal. During the induction time, many recruits are from various department, at this point of time you will have good friendship and exchange of knowledge. For example, in real estate industry the architects & civil engineers feasibility in terms of master plan, floor plan & specification report in adherence to the timely deliver ability of the project acts has an input for the marketing team to formulate a theme of branding & communication of the project (Work Flow). So during the program, if you know the people of the various department it act as an added advantage & to get the information in a jiffy & act speedily to complete one’s work.


3)Know your KRA and KPI from the hrs. 

KRA’s acronym is Key Result Area & KPI’s Acronym is Key Performance indicator. It’s a set of objective you need to achieve in that financial year such  in which you will be appraised by your appraiser( i.e., Reporting Manager) for which you will get the right reward & recognition.  You should know for which work you going to get appraised at the end of the year such that your growth map is the right path.

4) Know your Salary break up structure

By this you can plan your income tax return which will help you to file better at the end of the year and you can plan your investment wisely.
So do get prepared with this following points for your first best impression as an employee & to kick start your innings with flying colours.
